Private ski lessons for children in Courchevel and Méribel

Patient, playful lessons that build safe habits early. One instructor for your children only, at their pace.

Ski instructor with two young children in their first ski lesson

Children learn quickly when they feel safe and are having fun. A private lesson gives them both: an instructor who knows their name, watches every turn and changes the plan the moment they are tired, cold or ready for more.

How we teach children

  • Play first. Games and small challenges keep children moving and smiling, and they learn balance without thinking about it.
  • Safe habits early. Stopping, looking uphill, riding the lifts and respecting other skiers come before speed.
  • Small, clear steps. One goal at a time, with lots of praise when it works.
  • Honest feedback for parents. At the end of each lesson we tell you what your child did well and what to practise next.

From first steps to young racers

  • First days on the snow. Gentle slopes, short sessions and a lot of patience.
  • Growing skiers. Blue and red runs, better turns and the confidence to follow the family around the ski area.
  • Young racers. We both competed at national level. For children who already ski well and want more, we work on carving, gates and race technique.

Half day or full day for children?

For young children and beginners a half day, usually the morning, is often the right length. Older children and confident skiers get more from a full day, with time to practise and a proper lunch break. Read more in our guide to half day or full day lessons.

In Courchevel and Méribel

We teach children across Courchevel and Méribel, so you can stay where you like. See our private lessons in Courchevel or in Méribel for more about each resort.

Questions we are often asked

Can siblings share a private lesson?

Yes. Brothers, sisters and friends can share one lesson. Tell us their ages and levels and we plan the day so each child is challenged without being left behind.

Is a half day enough for young children?

Often it is. Young children and first-timers usually learn best in a focused half day, while older or more confident children get more from a full day.

Can parents join the lesson?

Yes. Parents can join, watch for a while, or enjoy their own skiing and meet us at the end.

Do you coach young racers?

Yes. We both raced before teaching, so we can work on gates, technique and line choice with children who want to train properly.

Where do we meet?

At your hotel, your chalet or the lift, in Courchevel or Méribel.
