Private ski lessons in Courchevel

One-to-one lessons with a former racer, built around your level and the day's snow. We meet you at your hotel, your chalet or the lift.

Private ski instructor with a mother and son on a sunny slope above the Courchevel valley

Courchevel is one of the best places in the Alps to learn and improve: wide, well-groomed runs, reliable snow at altitude and direct access to the Three Valleys. A private instructor turns that terrain into steady progress, because every run is chosen for you.

Who our private lessons are for

  • Beginners and returning skiers. Calm first turns on gentle slopes, then the confidence to ride the lifts and ski your first blue runs.
  • Intermediate skiers. Most of our guests are here: comfortable on blues and reds, but stuck on the same habits. We work on balance, edging and rhythm so red runs feel easy and black runs become possible.
  • Advanced skiers. Carving, short turns, steeper terrain and, if you want it, real race technique. This is where our racing background makes the biggest difference.

Why ski with a former racer

We both competed at national level before we started teaching. Racing teaches you to read a slope, to feel exactly what the ski is doing and to explain it simply. In a lesson that means precise, honest feedback, and drills that change your skiing in a few runs rather than a few weeks.

Courchevel, village by village

Courchevel is made up of four villages at different altitudes, all linked by lifts and pistes:

  • Courchevel (1850) is the highest and best-known village, with the widest choice of runs straight from the snow front.
  • Courchevel Moriond (1650) has a quieter, sunny ski area that suits families and intermediates.
  • Courchevel Village (1550) and Courchevel Le Praz (1300) are smaller and calmer, with easy access to the main ski area.

Wherever you stay, we plan the day so you spend your time skiing, not crossing the resort.

How a full day works

We usually start with the first lifts while the snow is at its best, warm up on easy runs and watch you ski. Then we pick one or two things to change and practise them on runs that suit each skill. Lunch is at a mountain restaurant we know, and the afternoon is for putting it all together. Half days follow the same idea, with one clear goal.

Courchevel and the Three Valleys

From Courchevel you can ski across to Méribel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires. Les 3 Vallées has 600 km of pistes, which is why many guests add a Three Valleys day once they feel confident. If you are staying in Méribel instead, see our private lessons in Méribel.

Questions we are often asked

Where do we meet for a private lesson in Courchevel?

Wherever suits you best. We can meet you at your hotel, at your chalet or at the bottom of the lift you prefer, in Courchevel 1850, Moriond, Village or Le Praz.

Is a full day better than a half day?

For most guests, yes. A full day gives time to learn a skill, practise it on different runs and keep it. A half day works well for young children, first-timers or a focused session on one goal.

Can a mixed-ability group share one instructor?

Yes. We plan the day so everyone skis at the right level, and we choose runs where the group can stay together. Tell us the levels when you write to us.

Are lift passes and equipment included?

No. Lift passes and ski hire are booked separately. We are happy to tell you which pass fits the runs you want to ski.

How do I get a price?
